Autobiographical Statement

Storytelling is more than an art form—it’s the gateway to social evolution. Stories have the power to shape nations, debunk taboos, and bring people together. But reaching the right audience is serious business.

For more than 20 years, I honed my storytelling skills as an educator. Whether I was teaching language arts, English, or Spanish to students, I had just a few precious minutes to capture their attention. Stories had to be compelling, with relatable characters and imaginative twists to keep them engaged. These classroom experiences taught me the power of narrative and the impact it could have.

It was my love for storytelling that ultimately led me to become a professional writer. Drawing from my Cuban-American roots and experiences as an immigrant in Venezuela, I’ve woven tales that resonate across cultural and generational lines.

Through my journey as a teacher, filmmaker, and writer, I’ve learned that storytelling is not just about entertainment—it’s about inspiring change and fostering deeper connections with audiences worldwide.
